Caring and secure memory care
While experiencing the cognitive decline of a loved one can be overwhelming, your loved one can continue to fill his or her days with purpose and growth. As memory care experts, we are here to support you and help your family navigate care options. At the June, our resident-centered care approach helps residents feel valued and productive while enjoying each day with dignity and respect. We partner with residents’ families to develop a personalized care plan that appeal to the resident’s interests and needs while building trust.
Our circular loop configuration and open layout provides our memory care residents an intimate, familiar setting. A large, secured courtyard provides a place to host activities and family visits. The thoughtfully designed apartments and modern common areas make it easy for residents to complete everyday tasks in a safe, secure environment.
An Innovative Approach
At The June, we use Teepa Snow’s GEMS positive approach and engagement based on the individual’s current abilities and needs. In the GEMS model, we focus on seeing the individual as unique and capable, rather than on his or her memory loss. Gemstones are used as a reference to each stage of dementia. Each gemstone helps define the characteristics of the individual and the care needed to ensure the best quality of life. Our residents are matched to a gemstone, which may change over time. Our caring staff receives extensive training on the GEMS approach as well as experience a virtual dementia tour to better understand how people living with dementia experience cognitive change. We are here to partner with you, learn, and craft a plan of care that will maximize purpose, health, and joy for your loved one.
High Quality Healthcare Made Easy
Staying healthy also means having access to great care. At the June, a licensed nurse supervises all care provided to each resident. Our residents can receive occupational, physical, and/or speech therapy right at home in our rehab clinic. Our onsite rehab provider and licensed nurse work together to detect and address key health risk factors, including falls. We partner with visiting physician practices to provide convenient access to physician appointments. And whether your physician is in-house or practicing elsewhere, we manage the coordination, record transfer, and follow up care.
We are here to partner with you, to learn and to craft a plan of care that will maximize purpose, health, and joy for your loved one during this stressful time. Get in touch below and let us help you by showing you how we can care for your loved one today.
